A Letter from Matt MacArthur)

John MacArthur Charitable Trust Annual Report

As I reflect on my father’s life and legacy, I am reminded of the psalmist’s words: “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the Lord, They will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age; They will be rich and fresh (Psalm 92:12–14).

My father embodied this vitality, bearing fruit until his final breath. His influence endures through the ministries of Grace Community Church, Grace to You, The Master’s University and Seminary, and The Master’s Academy International. This annual report seeks to capture the breadth and depth of his 56-year ministry—a legacy that proclaimed truth and strengthened the global church across generations. Yet, no report can fully encompass the magnitude of his impact, which remains, to me, profoundly humbling.

Through his pulpit at Grace Community Church and the outreach of Grace to You, my father guided millions toward a deeper understanding of God’s Word. Through The Master’s Seminary, he equipped thousands of expositors now serving in nearly every U.S. state and over seventy countries. His leadership at The Master’s University shaped countless students and families, while his vision for The Master’s Academy International advanced global missions by establishing training centers and planting biblically faithful churches worldwide.

My father devoted his life to this family of ministries, trusting they would achieve far more for Christ’s cause than he could ever imagine. This report testifies to the abundant fruit of that commitment.

In his later years, he established the Trust to secure the future of these institutions, viewing it as his most strategic investment in the ministries that defined his legacy. As he finished his race, he ensured their work would continue, each fulfilling its vital role in Christ’s Great Commission. In his final days, he spoke often of these ministries, longing for them not only to outlive him but to thrive, carrying forward the timeless work to which God called them.

I am deeply grateful for the fruit these ministries have borne and the harvest yet to come. I am equally thankful for your faithful partnership with my father and your ongoing commitment to the Trust that bears his name. Together, we press on until the Lord calls us home.

Sincerely in Christ,

MATT MACARTHUR
