Christmas Testimonials: Reflections from TMU & TMS Students
This Christmas season, we asked students at The Master’s University and The Master’s Seminary to describe a gift they have received. These testimonies represent just a small sample of the many lives impacted by the John MacArthur Charitable Trust. Thank you for your investment in these students and so many others. We trust this Christmas season will be a time of joy and gratitude as you celebrate the gift of God’s Son.

“The greatest gift that I have received through my education at TMU is the trials in my faith. The Lord has used the hardest situations of my life recently to grow me more into a man of God who loves Him supremely; and TMU and its community have been a refuge. Going to TMU is a privilege, not something that I deserve.”
OLIVIA TATLOCK TMU student Receiving The Master's Global Scholarship
"A gift I have received through my education at The Master’s University is the way the professors genuinely invest in their students. They care about our growth and success, both inside and outside the classroom. Another gift has been the relationships I’ve built within the dorms. The community here has encouraged me, challenged me, and given me friendships that have shaped my experience in such a meaningful way."

"During my time at The Master’s Seminary, the Lord has been so kind in his providence towards me. One unique gift I have received at TMS that stands out is a genuine joy of reading. It may seem like a peculiar gift to focus on seeing that we are required to read a lot for our classes but before seminary, reading was not a delight but a chore. Throughout seminary, the Lord has moved my heart to delight in reading, not only theology, but biographies, fantasy, and other genres that have enriched my life and worship of God. The joy of reading is a gift that I will always be thankful for that the Lord gave to me at The Master’s Seminary."
JERRY CHERIAN TMS Student Receiving the MacArthur Trust Scholarship
"The greatest gift I have received through my education at The Master’s Seminary is the stewardship of diligence and discipline to be a Christ honoring servant of God. Most of my professors are elders in a local church and they emulate in their life the discipline and diligence that is required in one’s life to serve God’s people faithfully and intentionally. One of my professors often reminds us during our classes that it’s not very important how sharp you are, but it is imperative that you be a hardworking man and that you cannot glorify God and serve God’s people by being lazy and incompetent. I’m thankful to my professors at TMS for being a model of a hardworking servant (2 Timothy 2:15). It is convicting and motivating to me as a student and an aspiring pastor."
